Zárate Albariño 2022
Not all Albariño is created equal. Those made by Zárate have more in common with Chablis than some of the simplified, lesser versions. Dating back to 1920, Zárate is a small artisan producer in the Val do Salnés sub-region, named by the Romans for the salt they used to harvest there. A certain saltiness seems somehow to infuse this wine too. It has lovely aromatics of fresh fruit and flowers, but a mineral bite to it which keeps it refreshing. An energising drink perfect for summer.
