Paris Sigalas is a legendary winemaker on Santorini. The basic Sigalas Assyrtiko is perhaps the island's best-known wine, and some of the top single vineyard bottlings are among the finest. In 2020 Paris sold the Sigalas label, but instead of enjoying a well-earned retirement he has started a new project, Oeno P. This is a new winery built on the site of the original family canava where the original Sigalas venture began. Having done it all with Sigalas, Oeno P is solely about producing the very best of the best. Everything is done with an uncompromising focus on quality. All of Paris' experience and skill is going into the wine, and the results are outstanding.
Pithari 6 is a separate bottling of a single amphora that would normally become part of the blend for Tria Ampelia. In this case, Paris felt that the wine in this amphora stood out and deserved to be bottled separately. This very rare bottling is a stunning example of Santorini Assyrtiko - multi-layered wine of perfect balance.
