Quinta do Montalto have fifteen hectares of organically farmed vines in the countryside north of Lisbon. Here winemaker Andre makes a series of great value, characterful wines from local varieties. Cluricaun 'Skin' is an orange wine made from 90% Siria and 10% Fernão Pires. Skin contact lasts 30-60 days and 10% is in Amphora. The result is a fresh, approachable wine with a pale orange colour and a little tannic grip. A good introduction to skin contact wine in general.
