Yumbel Estación, named for the old railway station nearby, is the project of Maricio Gonzalez Carreño. His wines are all made from old bush vines which he has been slowly and thoughtfully rescuing from neglect. Fermented with wild yeasts, unfined, unfiltered and with no added sulphur, this is a natural orange wine with a lovely colour, lots of orange/bruised apple flavour and a subtle tannic grip. If your experience of Chilean wine is limited to the identikit bottles lining the supermarket shelves, try this.
