Not content with making Alsace's greatest dry Riesling, Clos Ste Hune, in the 1960s Trimbach decided to create another, Cuvée Frédéric Emile. Famously made with Grand Cru fruit but not labelled as such (the Frédéric Emile name is considered cachet enough) it has gone on to become another great classic. Dry, rich and ageworthy, it is a wonderful example of the best of Alsace.
From the Geisberg and Osterberg Grand Cru vineyards, but not labelled as Grand Cru through choice. 45 year old vines. No oak.
