Ben Walgate of TIllingham is a big fan of Qvevri, the traditional Georgian fermentation vessel that is buried underground. There is nobody else making English wine quite like this - an experimental blend of wine from three Qvevris, one of Pinot Blanc and two of Chardonnay (one of which has skin contact). The result will challenge everything you thought you knew about English wine. This is a beautiful, complex and unique wine that actually achieves the feat of tasting like a genuine Georgian Qvervi-made white.
