Tetramythos Retsina Amphorae NV
Retsina in its most commercial form, as found on the beaches of Greece, famously does not travel well. There's something about the strong resiny flavour that works in a copper jug in the Greek heat, but not at home on a rain-soaked English evening. Tetramythos Retsina is another thing altogether. It is a thoroughly modern, crisp and refreshing white, with only very subtle resin notes. Grapes are organically farmed and the wine fermented in traditional clay amphorae which are shipped from Crete. The pine resin is added as a seasoning, as it has been for thousands of years.
