Each of the three single vineyard Bandols made by Tempier is a great wine, and they all have subtly different characters. La Tourtine sits just above the Cassabou vineyard and produces wines of great power and structure, complemented by a gorgeous fresh fruit character. Like all the Tempier wines it can be aged for 10+ years.
Extremely savoury, wild and animal nose – pretty heady too. The palate is silky with mocha, sweet fruit and such silky tannins. A big wine but beautifully put together – wild and rugged with great structure – should age very nicely indeed.17 points
