Tempier 2016 Bandol 'La Migoua’
Each of the three single vineyard Bandol's made by Tempier is a great wine, and they all have subtly different characters. At 270m, La Migoua is the highest site, and produces the most earthy, gamey Tempier reds. It has the least Mourvèdre in the blend, with more Grenache. Like all the Tempier wines it can be aged for 10+ years.
40+ year old vines. Fermented with wild yeasts in stainless steel. Matured in large oak casks (25-75hl) for 18 to 20 months. Unfined and unfiltered.
