Sortevera 2018 Táganana Blanco
Sortevera is a relatively new project on Tenerife, using fruit from some of the best sites in the now famous Taganana area. These ungrafted old vines grown on volcanic soils can make wines of amazing complexity, and in the hands of Jonatan Garcia Lima of Suertes del Marques the results are sublime. The white is a blend of various varieties and is characteristically smoky, mineral and multi-layered. A future classic.
All ungrafted vines. Fermented with wild yeasts. Aged 10 months in neutral French oak.
