Michel Grisard started restoring the ruined Domaine Prieuré Saint Christophe in 1978. By the time of his final vintage in 2014, he had firmly established it as one of the finest producers in Savoie, and his wines are found on the wine lists of the world's best restaurants. Since 2014, Clément Giachino of Domaine Giachino has been running things, and the wines continue to be benchmarks. This Altesse is a seriously refined, persistent wine with a lovely baked apple flavour cut through with great energy. It goes on and on.
