Paolo Bea 2012 Rosso de Véo
- 1 in stock
Paolo Bea is one of Italy's great artisan producers. Working primarily with the Sagratino variety local to this part of Umbria, the family produce sublime, powerful wines from organically farmed vineyards and with minimal intervention in the winery. Sagratino yields a powerful, tannic and ageworthy red, so all the wines undergo long, slow ageing before release. Rosso de Véo is a blend of 65% Sagratino with 25% Sangiovese and 10% Montepulciano. It is aged for a minimim of a year in stainless steel, then two years in old Slovenian oak, before being bottled and kept for years until ready to drink.
