Niepoort Late Bottled Vintage Port 2018

Niepoort was founded in 1842 by Franciscus Marius van der Niepoort, who was born in Holland and emigrated to Portugal. It has remained an independent family-run business ever since, and is currently in the hands of the endlessly experimental Dirk Niepoort. Dirk produces a bewildering range of wines and Ports, which are without exception of very fine quality. The Late Bottled Vintage Port is a sweet spot in the range, made from a single vintage and matured for 4-6 years in cask. It is full-bodied with its sweetness nicely offset by tannin and freshness. Bottled ready to drink.
