Monthelie-Douhairet-Porcheret 2018 Monthelie Rouge Cuvée Miss Armande
Regular price £32Mademoiselle Armande Douhairet, after whom this wine is named, took over her Monthelie estate in the Second World War, and remained there until her death in 2004 at the age of 98. Through much of that time André Porcheret was consultant winemaker, and now his granddaughter Cataldina and her husband Vincent continue the work. The winemaking is traditional, with the reds being aged for 18 months in oak (10% new), and bottled unfined and unfiltered. They are wonderful examples of Burgundy that outperforms its appellation, and are silky, moreish and ageworthy.
100% Pinot Noir. 100% destemmed. Aged 18 months in oak, 10% new.
