Pinot Gris and Pinot Grigio may refer to the same grape variety, but the choice of the Alsacian version for this is deliberate. This wine is lightyears from the insipid nature of the vast majority of supermarket Grigio. It is rich, deep and full-bodied, with vibrant fruit. An Alsace classic in an Australian guise.
A natural amphitheatre at 750m with volcanic soils. Whitlands high plateau. Partly fermented in stainless steel, partly in big oak barrels.
