Gérard Boulay 2017 Sancerre Clos de Beaujeau
- 5 in stock
Gérard Boulay is one of the top names in Chavignol, the tiny village home to some of the finest, terroir-driven Sancerre. These are seriously refined, mineral whites, a far cry from the exuberant fruit and herbaceousness usually associated with Sauvignon Blanc. His Clos de Beaujeau is from 30-60 year old vines previously owned by Bourges Cathedral. It is aged in 300l, three year old barrels and is tense and complex. It can age magnificently.
