Moulin aux Moines own several monopole plots, including Clos du Moulin in Auxey-Duresses. A 0.9 hectare unclassified section of this vineyard is known as 'the plot with no name'. Planted in 1980, it yields excellent fruit which is used to make this 'vin natur'. It may be ineligible for the appellation (and not even permitted to display its vintage) but the juice in the bottle is delicious. This is lovely, hand-made red Burgundy with gorgeous red fruit and an earthy complexity. A bargain.
