If you've never heard of either the grape (Moschomavro) or the place (Siatista), you're not alone. Since their 19th century heyday the wines from this mountainside town of northern Greece have been all but forgotten. Dimitris Diamantis is on a mission to bring them back, painstakingly restoring old vineyards, replanting local grape varieties and crafting wonderful wines. His Moschomavro is an irresistible, light red with a very pure raspberry, cherry flavour that soars out of the glass.
