We can't get enough Comando G wine here. Their ethereal, perfumed Garnacha from high altitude sites in the Gredos Mountains is changing how we think of Spanish red. Mataborricos is literally their 'party wine'. Originally made and bottled for an annual party, it was later released to the public by popular demand. It is equal parts Garnacha, Carignan and Listan Prieto (a popular vine in the Canaries and which the guys at Comando G found interplanted in their Gredos vineyards). It is fermented in amphorae and bottled with no sulphur additional whatsoever. More rustic and spicy than their other wines, it's a limited release available in only a handful of countries. Serve cool!
