Charvin Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2016
- 2 in stock
Charvin have only been bottling their own wines since the 1990s, although the domaine has been in the family since 1851. They are now one of the best producers in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, making beautifully balanced, ageworthy, terroir-driven wines. The blend for the red is 82% Grenache, with 8% Syrah and 5% each of Vaccarèse and Mourvèdre from 50 year old vines. The wine is aged in concrete vats for 21 months and is bottled unfined and unfiltered. It is a beautifully balanced, harmonious wine capable of long ageing.
