So much 'everyday' wine is made to a template - the same few international grape varieties in the same style - it might as well come from anywhere. A wine like Solà Fred is the alternative. It's from Montsant, an area almost completely surrounding the much more expensive Priorat. The grape is Carignan, and for this wine it's grown all around the winery in estate-owned vineyards. It has proper regional and varietal character. A real wine for drinking every day.
