Catherine and Pierre Breton are leading lights for organic viticulture in the Loire Valley, producing a range of wines from eleven hectares just east of Bourgueil. Les Perrières is their greatest red, made from a single hectare of 40 year old Cabernet Franc vines. It is a wine designed to be cellared for many years, building layers of complexity. It gives top Bordeaux a run for its money.
Fermented and aged for two years in 500l barriques, some new. Unfined and unfiltered.
