It's a strange irony that the producer most famous for restoring the reputation of Soave as a fine wine no longer labels his wines as Soave. Roberto Anselmi left the restrictions of the appellation behind long ago and now makes his own rules. The wines remain superb at all levels, and San Vincenzo is still outstanding value. 70% is the Soave grape Garganega, with the rest made up of equal parts Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. It is a crisp dry white with lots of apricot and almond character.
Aged on lees in steel vats for six months.
|Blend||70% Garganega, 15% Chardonnay, 15% Sauvignon Blanc|
For authentic, interesting wine.
