We're used to stories of English sparkling wine outdoing Champagne, but who knew Wales could also produce wine of such complexity? Ancre Hill's 2013 Rosé has acquired a striking, smoky complexity with several years in bottle. Beneath that is a heart of ripe red fruits, wonderful freshness and balance. Brimming with elegance and style.
Fermented in stainless steel and concrete with an elevage of over 12 months for the base wine. Aged 2-3 years on lees.
