About Us

Wine & Greene is a modern independent wine merchant in Totnes, Devon and also online, right here. We sell a carefully chosen selection of the wines we love to drink. The business is run by me, Ben Greene. Before this I worked in the London wine trade, selling (and when possible, drinking) the world's best wines.

We like authentic, interesting wine made traditionally, by growers who farm conscientiously and avoid chemicals in the vineyard. We're particularly interested in overlooked European regions and grape varieties, and are specialists in the wines of Greece.

We are based in our very own shop in Totnes, Devon, housed in an old record store in the town's historic Narrows. For opening hours and more information go to our Totnes Shop page.

OK, nobody needs a newsletter. But we do try to make ours different. It's there to inspire your interest, with stories from the most dynamic wine regions on the planet, armchair entertainment for the interested wine drinker, and access to special wines. Read and sign up

Delivery & Returns

Delivery to most UK postcodes is free for orders of £200+. For smaller orders, we charge £9.95 (or £11.95 for orders under £50).

We deliver to most UK postcodes via APC's next working day service. Orders placed before 12pm Tuesday-Friday usually leave here on the same day and should be delivered on the following working day. There are exceptions, so please call to check first when timing is critical.

Not ourselves, but we do work with specialist wine shippers who can arrange this for you. Contact us with the details and we'll see what we can do.

We're happy to take back any bottles you have that are still in perfect condition, up to 28 days after delivery. Contact us with the details to get started. 

If you suspect a problem with a bottle, reseal it and contact us within 24 hours. For non-fine wine (under £50) we will give you a credit once we verify the fault. For fine wine (£50+), we may be able to refer the problem back to the producer or UK agent. Please note that we can only issue credit up to six months from purchase, and the wine must have been properly stored.
