About Us

Wine & Greene is a modern independent wine merchant in Totnes, Devon and also online, right here. We sell a carefully chosen selection of the wines we love to drink. The business is run by me, Ben Greene. Before this I worked in the London wine trade, selling (and when possible, drinking) the world's best wines. Read more on the about us page.

We like authentic, interesting wine made traditionally, by growers who farm conscientiously and avoid chemicals in the vineyard. We're particularly interested in overlooked European regions and grape varieties. Our particular specialism is the wines of Greece.

We are based in our very own shop in Totnes, Devon, housed in an old record store in the town's historic Narrows. For opening hours and more information go to our Totnes Shop page.

Delivery

To most UK postcodes, delivery is free for orders of £200+. Otherwise, it is £10. For full details see our Delivery & Returns page.

We deliver to most UK postcodes with APC's next working day service. Orders placed before 12pm Tuesday-Friday usually leave here on the same day and should be delivered on the following working day. There are exceptions, so please call to check first when timing is critical.

Yes, our minimum order for national delivery is 6 bottles of wine or £75, whichever comes first. Wine is expensive to deliver by courier, and it costs the same whether it's six bottles or one. Having a minimum order means we can keep wine prices competitive and delivery charges reasonable. If you're looking for inspiration to make up a case, you can't go wrong with a few of our Next Level House Wines - the sort of thing you will always want in your wine rack.

Not ourselves, but we do work with specialist wine shippers who can arrange this for you. Contact us with the details and we'll see what we can do.

Returns

We're happy to take back any bottles you have that are still in perfect condition, up to 28 days after delivery. Contact us with the details to get started.

If you suspect a problem with a bottle, reseal it and contact us within 24 hours. For wines under £50 we will give you a credit once we verify the fault. For fine wine (£50+), we may need to refer the problem back to the producer or UK agent. Please note that we can only issue credit up to six months from purchase, and the wine must have been properly stored.
