Château Unang 2016 Rouge
Regular price £13/
This is one of those juicy, supple Rhône reds which is just a joy to drink. Château Unang sits above the Nesque river bed, overlooking the Vaucluse Plateau. Run by Scottish couple James and Joanna King, it is now certified organic and fast becoming one of the best sources of delicious, great value wine in the region.
Incredible violet and Turkish delight perfume! Soars out the glass. Outrageously sweet, generous fruit, plump, heady, warm with baharat spices, tightened with hibiscus-petal tea tang. Supple leather-trousers tannins. This really kicks its heels, full of energy and pleasure without demanding anything but enjoyment. Very good value.16.5 points
