Chateau Musar 2018 Jeune Red
Regular price £13Chateau Musar say that Jeune Red is for early drinking and made from young vines. In the context of Musar's venerable vineyards and exceptionally long-lived wines that's true. But compared with almost any other red under £15 a bottle, it's painstakingly made and could age longer than anyone expects. It has a lot of Musar's typical Lebanese character - full-bodied, with baked red fruit flavours.
45% Cinsault, 45% Syrah, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. From Musar's 'young' Bekaa Valley vines - but some are nearly twenty years old. Aged for a year in vat and a year in bottle before release. No oak.
