Vinho Verde isn't just for white you know. This is a red version made from the Vinhão grape variety by the excellent Anselmo Mendes. It has lots of tangy, black, slightly sour fruit along with fine tannins that make it a brilliant, versatile food wine. Even better served slightly cool.
