Champagne Michel Gonet make two wines, both vintage and both 100% Chardonnay. Top of the tree is this Grand Cru Mesnil Sur Oger, from a single parcel called Les Hautes Mottes and aged for five years on lees. It is very dry and wonderfully elegant, with a characteristic combination of weight, texture and verve that betters many more expensive big brands.
