Josef Umathum makes lovely wines, all biodynamically, from his 33 hectare family estate in Austria's Burgenland. Quality is excellent across the board, and the sweet wines are particularly special. This Beerenauslese is a blend of Bouvier and Grüner Veltliner. Like all the best dessert wines it combines an irrisistable honeyed sweetness with balancing fresh acidity. An unbeatable end to a meal, and great value.
