Lyrarakis specialise in working with native grape varieties on Crete and reviving old, neglected vineyards. This wine is made with a grape called Kotsifali, grown at 500m altitude in the Alagni area. It has a lovely dark cherry flavour with a touch of spice. You get such value for your money here - this has bags of character and interest for a wine at an everyday price.
