Vincent Dureuil-Janthial Rully Rouge 'En Guesnes' 2015

The legendary Jean-François Coche of Domaine Coche-Dury once said of Dureuil-Janthial, 'If I see his name on a wine list, I don't give it a second thought and simply order his wine'. He is of course right. Both reds and whites from are consistently superb, punching well above their weight. The En Guesnes vineyard is next to the Premier Cru Meix Cadot, and was planted in 1950 and 1978. The wine has lovely concentration and the cherry/farmyard complexity every red Burgundy-lover seeks. This is a wonderful wine from a Domaine of genuine star quality.
