Domaine Jean Chauvenet, which has been run by Jean's son-in-law Christophe Drag since 1994, is one of the star producers of Nuits-Saints-Georges. The range includes a whole series of Premier Crus and the winemaking is quality-focused and controlled. The result is a series of wines which showcase the characters of the different vineyards beautifully. The Bourgogne Rouge offers an excellent value introduction to this quality producer.
