Chatzivaritis 2018 Ni
Regular price £30Chloe Chatziviritis, one of the best young winemakers in Greece, is reinventing her family domaine as a source of seriously good, skilfully made natural wines. The Minimus series features three wines - Mi (white), Ni (orange) and Mus (red), from organically grown grapes, fermented with wild yeasts and bottled with minimal sulphur additions. Ni is 65% Malagousia and 35% Roditis. It is a lovely, soft and approachable orange wine - the perfect introduction to the style.
Pale bright tiger colour. Chock full of flavour, character, and fruit! Dried orange peel nose plus a hint of liquorice. Really exciting combination of fruit, spice, acidity and very light grippiness. Not the accentuated astringency of some orange wines. A real charmer to persuade those who are anti orange wines. No heat despite the alcohol level.17.5 points
