Piedrasassi is all about Californian Syrah. They make some amazing wines, all of which have a combination of turbo-charged Californian fruit and a classical, Rhône-like structure. PS is their entry-level wine, and it delivers a lot of what the single vineyards offer in a more affordable form. Delicious right from release, but it should age like Côte-Rôtie given the chance.
