Mature vintage Port from a top producer remains one of the world's best value wines, and Warre's 1997 is the pefect example. It is now drinking at its peak but could easily be hung on to for ten more years. A massively complex, rich wine cut through with elegance.
Tealeaf. More savoury than the Dow's, then raisins and mass and lots of tannins. Quite elegant and lively. Dry finish.
