Cosse et Maisonneuve 2016 Le Combal Cahors
Regular price £24/
Matthieu Cosse and Catherine Maisonneuve have fifteen hectares of vineyard near Cahors, which they farm biodynamically. The grape for Cahors is Malbec (known here as Cot) and it traditionally gives a very deeply coloured, long-lived and powerful red. Matthieu and Catherine's wines have all those qualities, but also a distinctive elegance thanks to lovely fresh acidity which cuts through the richness. This is a delicious wine made for the table.
