As far back as the 18th century, the mountain wines of Málaga were among the world's most sought after, but over the centuries they gradually faded from view. Telmo Rodriguez, famous for reviving Spain's forgotten wines, has worked his familiar magic here with a modern take using fruit from old, high altitude bush vines. Málaga wine was originally sweet, but this is a glorious, dry Muscat. The vines are interplanted with old olive trees and the fruit pressed in olive presses before fermentation and ageing in stainless steel. The result is a beautiful, distinctive floral white that pays perfect tribute to the heritage of the region.
